Ex-Montenegrin PM Milo Djukanovic says that if anyone should be arrested, it is the opposition leaders and some media owners who should end up in prison. He said this commenting on the EU's demand to carry out certain arrests in the country. Ex-Montenegrin PM: Opposition should be arrested The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) leader accused the opposition and part of the civil sector and the media that in their desire to come to power they were hurting national interests by attacking investors and trying to portray the DPS, its leader and the previous government as corrupt. According to Podgorica-based daily Vijesti, Djukanovic was alluding to Movement for Changes (PZP) leaders Nebojsa Medojevic and Branko Radulovic, former Socialist People's Party of Montenegro leader Predrag Bulatovic, Vijesti owner Miodrag Perovic and New Serbian Democracy leaders Andrija Mandic and Goran Danilovic. “The most important thing for Montenegro's future is under attack - the economy and investors, who are very important partners for the state. They want to drive people to despair, because the Montenegrins would only vote for them out of despair,” said the DPS leader. At a DPS campaign rally in Tivat, Djukanovic dismissed claims from the opposition that Europe was insisting on the arrest of high-level officials, Podgorica media have reported. “Of course, I know who they would most like to arrest, but they have a completely mistaken notion that by doing this they will overturn the current government and find a shortcut to power. Many of them would like to sacrifice Montenegro at the altar of a greater Serbia,” concluded Djukanovic. Milo Djukanovic Tanjug
