Croatian President Ivo Josipovic has warned that PM Jadranka Kosor’s government will not do so well in the next elections if it does not implement reforms. He told Croatian Nova TV that Croatia was facing some serious consequences – destabilization and depression. President: Croatia needs changes “There are many unemployed people and numerous families don’t even have enough for bread or utility bills,” the president pointed out, adding that this was the main reason he would insist on reforms. He said that he had had a meeting with businesspeople and that he had explained to them that the situation was so serious that the election year could not be an excuse for the lack of reforms. Josipovic believes that Croatia will receive an accession date from the EU in June, but points out that even if it does not happen “the country should not sink in pessimism but in that case the government needs to reassess whether it can continue its work”.
