Slovenian PM Borut Pahor has confirmed that the government decided to appoint former Slovenian President Milan Kucan special envoy for Bosnia-Herzegovina. Pahor stressed that the government had appointed Kucan to study possible successful paths for constitutional changes in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Fmr. The Slovenian PM also added that Kucan would explain himself why he had been chosen for the position. TV Slovenija has reported, quoting unofficial sources, that the former Slovenian president was nominated by the EU. However, Kucan will not be an official representative of the EC or the EU and he will perform his duties in Slovenia.
