Charges filed in case of murdered Serb

Charges have been filed against eight person for the brutal murder of Serbian citizen Dejan Novakovic in Ohrid. Police spokesperson Ivo Kotevski said that of the eight suspects, one is Serbian and the other seven are Macedonians, adding that the Serbian suspect is currently a fugitive. Charges filed in case of murdered Serb Kotevski said that according to the autopsy, Novakovic died after being struck hard in the chest with a heavy object. He said that one of the suspects tried to erase the video of the fight and clean blood traces, adding that some of the suspects are members of the security team of the club in which the fatal fight broke out. Kotevski said that the apartments of the suspects have been searched and that samples have been taken for DNA analysis, adding that 30 people were brought in on Friday, but only seven were kept in custody and charged. Novakovic (34) was killed in a fight that broke out in a club in Ohrid, which later continued on the streets. His friend Goran Peric suffered minor injuries in the brawl, as did the club’s owner, who was also brought in for questioning.
