Holland will block Croatian EU accession over unsatisfactory cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, writes Zagreb daily Jutarnji List. A number of diplomats confirmed to the daily yesterday that Holland would undoubtedly block the opening of talks with Croatia on the chapter entitled “Justice and Fundamental Human Rights“. "Holland to block Croatia too?" The reason for the move is Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz’s view that Croatia’s cooperation with the Hague is inadequate. Brammertz has reprimanded Croatia for failing to supply all documentation pertaining to Operation Storm that the prosecution sought, Jutarnji List writes. Diplomatic sources at EU headquarters say that the Dutch will probably receive backing for this from Belgium and the UK, and that Holland’s blockade would have nothing to do with Slovenia’s blockade of Zagreb.
