According to the Veritas documentation-information center, Ante Gotovina’s lawyer is responsible for hiding documents relating to Croatian war crimes. Veritas states that Gotovina’s lawyer Marin Ivanovic is the leader of a group suspected of stealing and hiding documents related to the Storm military offensive crimes “Gotovina lawyer hiding documents” The information regarding the theft and hiding of reports about the shelling of ethnic Serb civilians and buildings in the 1995 attack on Knin was confirmed by Hague Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz last week, and came to light several months ago, according to Veritas Director Savo Strbac, who spoke to Banja Luka daily Glas Srpske. Brammertz told Croatian daily Vecernji list two days ago that there is reason to believe that the documents were being hidden on purpose in Croatia, adding that the Hague Tribunal has been asking Zagreb to send those documents for over 18 months. “His statements were confirmed by an investigation of the Croatian prosecution against three Croats, among them Ivanovic—suspected of stealing and hiding documents that were to be used as evidence against Generals Gotovina, Cermak and Markac,” Strbac said. He said that it is suspected that Ivanovic “bought” his position in Gotovina’s defense team by hiding the confidential reports. “Ivanovic and other suspects were members of the information and security serves and that probably enabled them to get to the documents,” Strbac said, adding that there is also a possibility that certain politicians and political groups were involved in the crime.

The information regarding the theft and hiding of reports about the shelling of ethnic Serb civilians and buildings in the 1995 attack on Knin was confirmed by Hague Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz last week, and came to light several months ago, according to Veritas Director Savo Štrbac, who spoke to Banja Luka daily Glas Srpske.
