The Fifth Annual South-East European Regional Economic Forum ended in Ohrid today with no Serbian officials in attendance. Croatian President Stjepan Mesic criticized Serbia, stating that it needs to shift its attention away from Kosovo and focus on European integration. According to the Beta agency, Serbian President Boris Tadic was invited, but did not make the trip. The goal of the regional economic forum is to streamline the process of European integration for South-East European countries from a macro-economic and political point of view, creating a climate for establishing contacts between businessmen in the region, and increasing trade. The forum is a non-governmental initiative with the goal of bringing together business and academic experts from Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Croatia, Albania, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania. The forum was attended by officials from the host-nation Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro.

According to the Beta agency, Serbian President Boris Tadić was invited, but did not make the trip.
