President offers condolences to Ivory Coast and Turkey

"On behalf of the people of Serbia and on my own behalf, I wish to offer you our deepest condolences. It is with great sadness and sympathy that we share the pain of the families of those killed," the Serbian president's press office cited Nikolic as saying on Monday.

The Republic of Serbia condemns in the strongest terms the criminal act and offers full support for your country's efforts in the fight against terrorism and all other forms of extremism, Nikolic said.

In a message of condolences sent to his Turkish counterpart Recep Erdogan in the wake of the Ankara bombing that killed 37 persons, Nikolic said:

"This tragic event once again showed that violent activity of terrorist and other extreme organizations represents a threat to peace and security of global proportions, and that it requires joint and coordinated action of the entire international community in fighting this great evil of today's worlds. I wish to convey my sincere message of solidarity with your and citizens of Turkey."
