"Millions set aside for Kosovo vanished from records"

"Over the past four years, 12 ministries and the Office for Kosovo and Metohija disbursed a total of some EUR 145 million through various projects. What can be concluded from the available documents is that the ministries do not keep precise track of their spending," the website said, noting that more details would be published on Thursday.

Insider said they received no reply from the Defense Ministry, the Labor, Employment and Veteran and Social Affairs Ministry and the Education Ministry.

The article also noted that when the government was formed in 2012, and after the broadcasting of Insider's series "A Patriotic Theft," then Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic "both promised to introduce tight control over funds spending."

"Yet, what followed was only the establishment of a Survey Committee, which confirmed the information presented in Insider's series, but a committee's report was never included on the parliament agenda."

The article added that "the last composition of the Serbian parliament, which was dissolved a few days ago for two whole years had at hand the Survey Committee's report on the misappropriation of the Serbian budget funds, intended for Kosovo, yet not reaching those in need."

"The report upheld the reports by Insider in 2012, showing that for years now under the guise of assisting the Kosovo Serbs, as much as EUR 650,000 per day on average is channeled to Kosovo without proper control. The Survey Committee, which adopted the report in 2014, comprised, among others, MPs of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), the Democratic Party (DS), the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP)," the website said.
