PM "concerned over migrant crisis for first time"

Serbia has the strength to protect itself amid the refugee crisis and at this time it can take in up to 5,000 refugees, which is the most the Serbian economy can sustain, Vucic said.

After attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Vucic told Serbian reporters that major leaders are more concerned by politics than by the economy, and that, as a result, political forecasts were slightly darker in Davos this year.

"Despite the slowdown of Chinese growth and the problems on the Russian market, or the fact that the oil price drop is affecting a major part of the world, it seems to me that the political part is what the major leaders are concerned by and that much attention was devoted to the migrant crisis," Vucic said.

It was reported earlier in the day that one of Vucic's meetings on the sidelines of the forum was with Greek counterpart Alexis Tsipras, and that the two discussed the migrant crisis, and also Tsipras' visit to Serbia.
