Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević (SNS) says early provincial elections in Vojvodina are "a reality because the provincial administration has lost its legitimacy."

Early elections in Vojvodina "reality"

He said "the regime of Bojan Pajtić" and the provincial administration had been "delegitimized" by the poor showing in all early municipal elections held in the province, as well as in early parliamentary elections.

The provincial authorities are headed by a coalition led by the Democratic Party (DS).

"In all the billboards of the DS in Vojvodina Bojan Pajtić was the carrier of the campaign, it is difficult to determine who is more responsible for their defeat - Pajtić or (Dragan) Đilas, but Pajtić was certainly complicit in the election result of the DS in Vojvodina," said Vučević.

According to him, the provincial administration has also lost the legality through the decision of the Constitutional Court which overturned a majority of provisions of the Statute of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

Vučević also said that "after 200 more police officers were hired in Novi Sad the crime rate fell by 22.5 percent."
