BELGRADE Serbian PM Ivica Dacic says that nobody has the right to hide behind Kosovo anymore because each attempt would end up with a new exodus of Serbs. He added that the Brussels agreement precisely represented the end of excuses. PM: Nobody has right to hide behind Kosovo “We had to do it because nobody has the right to hide anymore in Serbia, for the sake of its future. And frankly, they have nothing to hide behind anymore. Especially not behind Kosovo. That is why a new attempt to hide would end up with another, quite visible and bare exodus. With new victims, new losses and a new defeat,” Dacic stressed. In a text for daily Politika, he added that Kosovo would in that case continue toward Europe without any condemnation or responsibility and Serbia would once again be pushed in a “deep Balkan hole of despair, misery, hunger and pain”. “This is the point of the Brussels agreement. To mark the beginning of the end and the end of the beginning and to find a way and ways, to do what we were elected to do. And we were elected so Serbia could be a country where you have work, roads, schools, hospitals, books, theaters, medicines and satisfied and fulfilled people,” the prime minister explained. He added that Serbia could not sit still and do nothing and that it had to try to find a solution. “I have already said this, we are too small to be able to take that amount of injustice. We are too weak to just hide, make excuses and put up with it. To not to anything. To not try to finally find a way,” Dacic said. According to him, this is not only important for Kosovo or Kosovo Serbs but for the entire “unpopulated, poor, unemployed and unhappy Serbia”. Ivica Dacic (Beta, file) Beta Politika
