KFOR troops late on Tuesday reopened for traffic the alternative route bypassing the Jarinje administrative checkpoint, also opening the access to the crossing. Previously the same evening, the NATO mission soldiers from the base near the Jarinje administrative crossing blocked the shortest alternative route that leads from Leposavicc northern Kosovo, to Rudnica on the central Serbia side. KFOR shuts down, then reopens road The troops laid barbed wire across the road, halting all traffic. The people had to use a longer and more difficult road, which is almost impassable when there is snowfall. KFOR soldiers last night also blocked the traffic leading to Jarinje. Later in teh evening, KFOR opened for traffic the alternative road and the access to the Jarinje crossing, re-establishing control of vehicles at the checkpoint. The troops laid barbed wire across the road, halting all traffic.

The people had to use a longer and more difficult road, which is almost impassable when there is snowfall.

KFOR soldiers last night also blocked the traffic leading to Jarinje.

Later in teh evening, KFOR opened for traffic the alternative road and the access to the Jarinje crossing, re-establishing control of vehicles at the checkpoint.
