A meeting between Serbian government representatives and an EU mediator, focusing on the current situation in northern Kosovo, has been adjourned. Borislav Stefanovic, who heads the Belgrade team in the dialogue with Pristina - held in Brussels and mediated by Cooper - and Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic arrived in the town of Raska in south-central Serbia around just before 05:00 CET. Serbian officials, EU mediator adjourn meeting The EU official exited the town hall where the meeting took place first, and left in a hurry without addressing reporters. B92 has learned that the talks were difficult, with the participants "remaining in their positions". According to Tanjug, Bogdanovic stated that he expected the outcome of the talks with Cooper to be a return to the situation in northern Kosovo that existed before July 25, when the Pristina government sent over police units to impose a ban on goods from Serbia on two checkpoints in the northern, Serb part of the province. Despite reports earlier in the evening that the meeting with Cooper would resume on Tuesday, Stefanovic would not say when this might happen, but confirmed the talks would continue. Cooper traveled to Raska today from Pristina, where he met with representatives of the Kosovo Albanian authorities. No statements were distributed to the media after the talks held on Monday. The meeting was also attended by advisor to the Serbian president Jovan Ratkovic and advisor to the minister for Kosovo Vlada Jovicic. EU Special Representative in Kosovo Fernando Gentilini was also present. Earlier on Monday in Kosovo, a spokesman for the NATO-led KFOR troops in the province said their commander Erhard Buehler would not meet with the two Serbian government officials today because they "entered Kosovo illegally". But Beta news agency is reporting this evening that Stefanovic, Bogdanovic, and Ratkovic left Raska and arrived in northern Kosovo, where they expect to meet with Buehler on Tuesday.
