Foreign Ministry Political Director Borko Stefanovic said that Vuk Jeremic would remain at the head of the ministry, despite various calls for his resignation. Media speculations related to the foreign minister's departure are unfounded, he told B92. Success has been achieved in terms of coordination with the EU, and the adoption of the text opens the door for talks with Pristina, which was the fundamental basis of the Serbia's policy, he said. By agreeing to a joint resolution with the EU, Serbia has not made a significant shift in its policy towards Kosovo, it will not recognize Kosovo's independence, and the focus on finding a solution has not been shifted to the EU, he said. Serbia remains firm in its stance and will never recognize Kosovo's independence, but will continue to fight with all legitimate and democratic means to achieve its interests, Stefanovic said. The talks with Pristina can begin when all organizational and technical matters are completed, he added. He said that Serbia is ready for negotiations and it was not Serbia that abandoned them in the first place. It is only through negotiations that a solution acceptable to all sides can be reached, and negotiations are impossible without international support, Stefanovic concluded.
