According to daily Danas, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) is now the third most popular party in Serbia, according to recent surveys. The daily cited the most recent results of the International Republic Institute's latest survey. Daily: Liberals third in popularity LDP is now only behind the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Democratic Party (DS) in terms of popularity, who continue to fight for the top spot. The survey was done on the territory of Serbia, excluding Kosovo, with a representative sample group of 1,053 registered voters. The results show that other than LDP, SNS and DS, the only other parties that would pass the census are the Serb Radical Party (SRS), Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and the coalition of the Socialist Party of Serbia and the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (SPS-PUPS). Asked if parliamentary elections were held now, who they would vote for, 33.4 percent of the people said SNS, while 29.2 would vote for DS and 7.4 would support LDP. SRS would receive 6.5 percent of the vote, while DSS would receive 6 percent and SPS-PUPS could garner 5.7 percent of the vote. The survey shows that 61 percent of registered voters in Serbia know who they would vote for in the next parliamentary elections.
