The Serbian Ministry for Human and Minority Rights has complied with the recommendation of the commissioner for the protection of equality. For this reason, the ministry removed the disputed provision of the Rules of Procedure of the constitutive session of the National Council of the Bosniaks. Ministry on Bosniak National Council According to the provision, the body can be formed only after two-thirds of seats are verified, State Secretary at the ministry Aniko Muskinja-Hajnrih told Tanjug. Muskinja-Hajnrih said that the document is now the same as the Rules of Procedure of other national minority councils, adding that even after the deletion of the disputed provision, a two-thirds majority is still necessary for verification of mandates and the establishment of the council, as was the case with all other national minorities. Muskinja-Hajnrih said that the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights can only in the case of presence of two-thirds majority be sure that the elected National Council will reflect the will of the Bosniaks who voted for one of the three lists. A total of three electoral lists participated in the June elections for the National Council of Bosniaks, namely, Mufti Muamer Zukorlic's Bosniak Cultural Community (BKZ), the Bosniak List, represented by MP Esad Dzudzevic, and the Bosniak Renaissance which is close to the Sandzak Democratic Party whose founder was Rasim Ljajic. The first constitutive session was boycotted by the Bosniak List, and in part by the Bosniak Renaissance, and thus the National Council was formed by the Bosniak Cultural Community with the support of two councilors from the Bosniak Renaissance list, who assumed that the presence of over-half majority would be enough. Since representatives of the Bosniak Cultural Community refused to verify mandates for absent councilors at the time, the Ministry does not recognize the council established in this way.
