Greek Ambassador Dimosthenis Stoidis stated that Serbia has an opportunity to become a fully fledged EU member in 2014, "if it met all the conditions". Greece: Serbia could join EU in 2014 “Despite the economic crisis, we want businesses and ordinary people to examine new opportunities in order to discover their future. We have realized that there are many young people in Novi Pazar who need to find their way in the market. Serbia needs educated and qualified people, who will stay in the country and help it join the EU with the best preconditions,” Stoidis said. The Novi Pazar mayor said that n"ow was the ideal opportunity for Greek businessmen to set up their firms in Serbia, employ new people and export their products to Russia and worldwide". “Greece is our great friend, it is trying to help Serbia’s fast accession to the EU. The EU accession does not mean anything unless Serbia carries out complete reforms that will lead it to the European standards,” Mahmutovic said. He added that Director of the Super Vero supermarket chain Vasilios Kakagiotis mentioned a possibility to sell Novi Pazar-made products in his stores.
