"It was not me who brought 5,000 people from all over the world to Bosnia-Herzegovina, as I was accused of doing," Arnaut, who was Bosnian assistant interior minister at the time, said in an interview for Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti. "I held the position in which I formally signed citizenships. But you must know that the granting of the Bosnian citizenship to these people was permitted by laws and the Bosnian Constitution," he added. "As to why these people came to Bosnia, you should have asked this the people who made such rules. I was personally against such a policy, that brought great damages to my family," Arnaut stressed.
