Early local elections in Vojvodina town

The municipality of Vrbas in Vojvodina is today holding early local elections. Ten parties and coalitions and one group of citizens are taking part. Early local elections in Vojvodina town 37,175 citizens are eligible to vote on 35 polling stations. 320 candidates – 108 of them women – are competing for one of the spots in the 36-seat local assembly. "For a European Vrbas – Boris Tadic", the Serb Radical Party – Vojislav Seselj, the Serb Progressive Party – Tomislav Nikolic, the Democratic Party of Serbia – New Serbia – Vojislav Kostunica, the Socialist Party of Serbia – Ivica Dacic, and the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians – Istvan Pastor, are among the 11 lists that are taking part in today's elections.
