Democrats unveil cabinet offer

The two versions of the coalition deal proposed by the Democrats read as follows:
  • Prime Minister: Božidar Đelić
  • DSS – Ministry of the Interior
  • G17 Plus – Ministry of Finance
  • DS – Half government portfolios
  • DSS, G17, minority parties – Half of government portfolios
Should Vojislav Koštunica receive a mandate to form the next government, the Democratic Party expects the following:
  • Ministry of the Interior
  • Ministry of Defense
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Ministry of Finance
  • Majority of Portfolios
Petrović added that his party will not offer any new initiatives should both versions of their coalition proposal be rejected.

“The Democrats are ready to accept any candidate nominated by any of the parties with full confidence,” Petrović said, adding he was convinced that parties would offer the best personnel from their respective ranks.
