Former official Nemanja Kolesar has been questioned and remanded in custody for 48 hours in the case of privatization of Smederevo-based Sartid Steel Mill.

BELGRADE Former official Nemanja Kolesar has been questioned and remanded in custody for 48 hours in the case of privatization of Smederevo-based Sartid Steel Mill. Kolesar, who was a head of a working group in charge of the Sartid privatization and a then PM Zoran Djindjic’s chief of staff at the time of the sale, is suspected of abuse of office, initiating the bankruptcy procedure and transferring local powers from the Commercial Court in Pozarevac to the Commercial Court in Belgrade.
