Islamic center in Novi Sad vandalized

Serbian police said that unknown attackers smashed windows on the premises of an Islamic center in Novi Sad early on Monday morning. The center is under the control of one of two rival organizations gathering Muslims in Serbia - the Islamic Community in Serbia, which is headed by Mufti Muamer Zukorlic. He noted that the eyewitnesses who were inside the premises of the Muslim youth club at the time of the incident said they had spotted “three to six attackers.” Murati said he hoped that the police would discover the perpetrators of the wrongdoing this time, recalling that the hooligans who smashed the windows on the premises of the Islamic Community in Novi Sad three years before had not yet been found.
