A man suspected of belonging to the so-called Pink Panther gang of jewel thieves has been arrested in Montenegro.

A man suspected of belonging to the so-called Pink Panther gang of jewel thieves has been arrested in Montenegro. He has been identified as 29-year-old Belgrader Igor Jocic. Suspected member of jewel thieves gang arrested Jocic was arrested trying to enter Montenegro from Serbia, when the police found out that there was an Interpol warrant for his arrest issued by Switzerland. According to report on the Montenegrin daily Vijesti website, the Swiss authorities want Jocic on suspicion that he committed robbery. Jocic was placed in custody, awaiting extradition to Switzerland. His arrest is part of an Interpol operation against the gang. Interpol has a list of around 100 suspected members of the gang, all thought to have committed high-profile robberies of jewelery stores around the world.
