Authorities call for peaceful Pride Parade In two days time, a third attempt will be made to hold the first gay parade in Belgrade, although recent days saw increased activity among its opponents. Both the Pride Parade and the Family Walk on Saturday, the protest against the Pride Parade organized by the patriotic organization Dveri Srpske, will be under the watchful eye of the police. The police also said they would record and take photos of the participants on both events, the Sunday Parade attendants as well as their opponents on Saturday, who will rally to prevent it. Tomo Zoric of the Prosecutor’s Office said that the footage recorded by surveillance cameras could and would be used as evidence in possible criminal charges.
