EULEX has identified persons suspected of stealing several dozen kilos of drugs which had been stored in the Kosovo police, KPS, evidence room in Pristina. This is according to the Albanian language daily Zeri. The SPRK, which is conducting the case of the theft in the evidence room, did not specify the exact number or the names of suspects. EULEX gave official confirmation of the daily's claims. It is the Kosovo police and not EULEX who conducted the investigation on the evidence room case, which a SPRK prosecutor was in charge of. This complex investigation involves several suspects, but I cannot give any details since the investigation is still under way, EULEX spokesperson Blerim Krasnici said. Almost 50 kilos of confiscated drugs were stolen from the evidence room over the course of last year.
