The Serbian War Crimes Prosecution is preparing new indictments that could include Haris Silajdzic, writes a Sarajevo daily. The Bosnian Muslim politician, currently a member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina presidency, was a wartime prime minister. Silajdzic looks at Serbian indictment? Dnevni Avaz newspaper also says the new charges could relate to some Bosnian Muslim military leaders during the 1992-95 war in that country, including Sakib Mahmuljin and Atif Dudakovic, who commanded the 3rd and 5th Army of Bosnia-Herzegovina corps respectively during the war. All this, after the prosecution in Belgrade already indicted 19 Bosnians nationals, including Ejup Ganic and Stjepan Kljujic, for war crimes against Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) soldiers in the spring of 1992. According to this report, Silajdzic's responsibility is seen in his government role during the war, while Mahmuljin and Dudakovic are also investigated. The newspaper cites its sources "close to the Serbian prosecution" who said that had he lived, former Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic might have been among those probed for committing war crimes.
