The Hague has signed an deal with Tirana whereby those found guilty of war crimes could serve their sentences in Albanian jails.

The Hague has signed an deal with Tirana whereby those found guilty of war crimes could serve their sentences in Albanian jails. According to the Hague Tribunal, the agreement was signed this morning between the Albanian ambassador to Holland and Tribunal Secretary Hans Holthaus. Albania thus becomes the 17th potential host country for convicted war criminals. Albania joins Hague prison list The others are: Italy, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Austria, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, the UK, Belgium, Ukraine, Portugal, Estonia, Slovakia and Poland.
