K. assembly driver suspected of drug smuggling Belgrade daily Politika quoted MUP who said they identified the two ethnic Albanians detained as officials with the assembly in Pristina – one of them reportedly a member of the assembly. Yesterday, the Albanian language media in the province said that one of the suspected drug smugglers is the driver of a member of the Kosovo Assembly Presidency. Kosovo Assembly President Jakup Krasnici has not denied the identity of the man arrested, but pointed out that the presidency members are responsible, since they "engage drivers in actions bypassing the envisaged procedure for this". "We know that the presidency members brought their own staff who were outside the parliament administration when they took office, and, if anyone should be called to answer for what has happened, then it is the presidency member whose driver is suspected in the arrest in Nis," Krasnici was quoted as saying. MUP previously identified those arrested as brothers Naim, 45, and Aziz, 38, Halili, and Goran Blazic, 44.
