A woman was seriously injured today when an unknown attacker threw a hand grenade at her apartment in New Belgrade's Blok 63 neighborhood.

A woman was seriously injured today when an unknown attacker threw a hand grenade at her apartment in New Belgrade's Blok 63 neighborhood. The incident took place some time after 09:00 CET when a strong explosion rocked the residential building. Belgrade apartment attacked with hand grenade The victim, identified as B.P., was in the apartment with two children who escaped unharmed. Police, firefighters and ambulances were at the scene shortly after the blast. The victim was taken to the Emergency Center reanimation unit for treatment. B92 has unofficially learned that the attack was planned for B.P.'s 18-year-old son, who was not in the apartment at the time of the incident. Also unofficially, the man, identified as F.P., has been implicated in illegal car trade. B92 has learned from the MUP that he frequently engaged in car chases with police patrols.
