The Special Prosecutor for Organized Crime has indicted 34 members of a criminal group for abuse of powers at the JKP City Sanitation Department. In a statement, the prosecutor says that in Belgrade and Pozarevac between January 2005 and November 2007, the accused, JKP Managing Director Dragan Ignjatovic, and the owners of the Hydraulic System company from Mionice and Best International, Goran Puce and Milan Kuzmanov respectively, organized a criminal group for the purposes of financial gain. City Sanitation Department officials charged They have been charged with criminal association, abuse of powers, money laundering, and tax evasion. The three men are accused of defrauding funds in the region of EUR 4.5mn. The men were originally arrested during a police raid on November 13 last year.
