Ratko Mladic is in Serbia, and Radovan Karadzic is somewhere around the Serbia-RS-Montenegro border, says Olga Kavran. The Hague Tribunal Prosecution representative made the claims last night on RS Television, adding that it was not entirely clear “whether Karadzic is in Serbia, the RS or Montenegro, although he’s assumed to be in the region, as that’s where his support base lies, and it’s where both his close and distant relatives live, “ said Kavran. "Net closing on Hague fugitives" She announced that the pressure on fugitives’ family members and friends would be maintained until they had all been caught. She could neither confirm nor deny that Mladic was being shielded by certain quarters of Serbia’s security services. Kavran added that the other two Hague indictees, Goran Hadzic and Stojan Zupljanin, were also within the authorities’ grasp. Karadzic and Mladic (FoNet, archive)
