Belgrade to host summit of 13 capitals

The host and organizer of Capital Summit 2015 is the City of Belgrade in partnership with the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), and along with the mayors of capital cities and their major investors, the event will bring together senior representatives of the European Union, international institutions, diplomats and investor and business associations, as well as architects and directors of public companies.

Mali told Tanjug that the summit was a great opportunity for Belgrade to get back on the world map of major event organizers, since the Serbian capital was becoming an increasingly important political and economic center in the region.

Mali said that the summit would feature several panels, pointing out that one of them would be devoted to European integration, while others would discuss the capital cities, challenges they faced, financing major infrastructure projects and ways to increase energy efficiency.
