Talks on new arrangement with IMF

Finance Minister Lazar Krstić announced the possibility of talks on the new three-year arrangement and last week, he said that the new arrangement will be realized by the next Serbian government.

The outgoing government should carry out all the preparations so that the new government, after the elections, could make a decision and conclude a new agreement with the IMF.

The talks with the IMF Mission began in Belgrade on February 26 on the level of technical experts and today's official discussions will open with a plenary session at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS).

The Serbian delegation in the talks with the IMF is headed by Krstić.

The last arrangement between Serbia and the IMF was closed in late September 2011 and it was frozen in February 2012 already as the 2012 budget deviated from the agreed fiscal program.
