Shareholders request reconsideration of Agrobanka decision

Belgrade lawyer Nenad Stanković on June 8 filed a request to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) to reconsider its decision to revoke Agrobanka’s license.

Belgrade lawyer Nenad Stankovic on June 8 filed a request to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) to reconsider its decision to revoke Agrobanka’s license. The NBS revoked the bank’s license on May 25, 2012. Shareholders request reconsideration of Agrobanka decision Stankovic filed the request on behalf of ten shareholders who own 21.0762 percent of Agrobanka. The request was sent to NBS Governor Dejan Soskic, all vice governors and members of the NBS Council. The request was also sent to Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, the government, Belgrade mayor, International Monetary Fund (IMF) representative in Serbia, EU Delegation in Serbia and to the Austrian Slovenian and Swedish Embassies in Belgrade. The request was filed on behalf of East capital -Raiffeisenbank Custody, Ferbild Belgrade, Erstebank AD Novi Sad-custody account, Qwest Investment public company, Miramar doo, Proinvestment AD, AC-SIN, Finea holding Maribor, MK Group Beograd, Finworld AD, BDD M V investments AD, Supra group, Infinitiv and Peagus Investments Limited. The shareholders pointed out that the request was filed “bearing in mind that the decision can be considered illegal and legally and logically inexplicable and that it has as such incurred irreparable damage to Agrobanka shareholders (4,715 of them and some of them are foreign investors), and to the Republic of Serbia as a country that claims that investments are its priority and that aims to join the EU.” Danas

Stanković filed the request on behalf of ten shareholders who own 21.0762 percent of Agrobanka.

The request was sent to NBS Governor Dejan Šoškić, all vice governors and members of the NBS Council.
