Serbian currency again weakens

The Serbian dinar (RSD) lost 0.74 percent of its value on Monday against the euro (EUR). The official middle exchange rate today stands at RSD 105.8786 per euro, the National Bank of Serbia said. Serbian currency again weakens The central bank purchased on Friday EUR 48.5mn interbank foreign exchange market so as to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate. Since the beginning of the year, the NBS has sold about EUR 2.519bn and bought about EUR 226.5mn at the foreign exchange market. The dinar hit its high for the year on January 4, when the official middle exchange rate was 95,9679, and its low on November 4, when one euro was worth RSD 107,5216.

The central bank purchased on Friday EUR 48.5mn interbank foreign exchange market so as to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.

Since the beginning of the year, the NBS has sold about EUR 2.519bn and bought about EUR 226.5mn at the foreign exchange market.

The dinar hit its high for the year on January 4, when the official middle exchange rate was 95,9679, and its low on November 4, when one euro was worth RSD 107,5216.
