Serbia's budget deficit in the period from January-October 2010 equaled RSD 98.5mn, or some EUR 920mn, it has been announced. The Serbian Finance Ministry said in Belgrade on Monday that Serbia's budget revenues in the first ten months of 2010 amounted to RSD 524bn, whereas expenditures totaled RSD 622.5bn. State budget deficit data out In October, the revenues amounted to RSD 55.5bn, most of which derived from VAT payments, namely RSD 28.9bn. A considerable revenue was also generated from excise duties - RSD 9.1bn, whereas one part of outstanding payments from October will be met in November. All other generated tax revenues were at the level of the 2010 monthly average. The high amount of non-tax revenues is the result of the payment of one part of Telekom Srbija's revenue, in the amount of RSD 1.9bn. Serbia's budget expenditures in October amounted to RSD 69.5bn, due to increased health care protection payments, that is the bonuses which were paid to pensioners in the amount of RSD 6.3bn, the ministry's statement reads.
