Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic met with the head of the Association of Independent Unions of Serbia (SSSS) Ljubisav Orbovic on Friday. After the meeting, the minister said that he supports their request for increase the minimum wage in Serbia. Minister supports increase of minimum wage At the meeting with Orbovic and other heads of various industrial unions, Dinkic agreed that it is vital to reach branch collective agreements, cut down on unemployment and stabilize regional development, the unions stated. Union representatives warned that the announced amendments to the pension and disability insurance law will adversely affect the position of pensioners and persons who retiring in the near future, adding that the SSSS would stage protests across the country in opposition to its adoption.
