The Economy Ministry has stated that the dynamics of Fiat’s investments in Serbia will be slowed because of the world economic crisis. Fiat will disclose in early March the pace at which it will pay EUR 200mn toward the founding capital of a joint company of Serbia and Fiat, State Secretary for Industry and Privatization Nebojsa Ciric said after meeting with Kragujevac-based Zastava carmaker unions and administration. Fiat investment to "go slowly" President of the Zastava Cars Independent Union Zoran Mihajlovic said that Fiat will definitely not make the payment by the end of March as it was earlier agreed upon, but that expects the money by the end of the year.
