Kragujevac-based Zastava Arms will take part in the upcoming SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual trade show for firearms industry is one of the biggest events of this type anywhere in the world. Serbia to talk arms sales in Las Vegas Now Serbia's leading arms manufacturer says this will be an opportunity to close its Remington export deal, and agree on the structure of its U.S.-bound 2008 sales. The two companies have started cooperation in October 2005. "We believe that the composition and quantity of our export products will be satisfactory, and I expect that it will be at least on the 2006 level, when we sold arms worth USD 3.2mn to the U.S., Canadian and Mexican markets, through Remington," Zastava's caretaker manager Rade Gromovic told Tanjug news agency Friday. From October 2005 until the end of last year, the Kragujevac factory exported 42,000 rifles worth a total of USD 6.5mn to these markets. Gromovic also said that the contracts signed for this year will see Zastava sell weapons valued at USD 28.7mn. This figure includes the USD 5mn sale of its trademark CZ 99 pistol to Iraq, to be conducted under a state contract signed last December. However, Gromovic added that the factory itself needed an investment of EUR 1.5mn this year.

Now Serbia's leading arms manufacturer says this will be an opportunity to close its Remington export deal, and agree on the structure of its U.S.-bound 2008 sales.
