Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Wednesday met with the Third President of the National Council of Austria, Norbert Hofer.

Nikolic, Hofer discuss Serbian-Austrian cooperation

"I wish you much success in conducting the policy of strengthening your country within the EU and comprehensive cooperation," said Nikolic, adding that Serbia expects Austria's support in European integration.

Hofer thanked Nikolic for the warm welcome and encouraging words, confirming Austria's commitment to the EU.

"I am sure that the cooperation between Central Europe and Western Balkan countries can be a major contribution to the development of the EU as a whole," said Hofer.

While in Belgrade Hofer, who is a candidate in Austria's presidential elections, also met with Serbian National Assembly President Maja Gojkovic.
