Central bank ups GDP growth projections to 0.5 percent

NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic stated that the GDP growth would exceed the limits of the neutral and reach 0.5 percent, based on central bank projections.

This is good news based on the projections we have in NBS, Tabakovic said at the presentation of the Report on inflation for August 2015 which was also attended by Resident IMF Representative in Belgrade Daehaeng Kim.

Asked whether it would be realistic to expect the IMF to raise the percentage of anticipated GDP growth for Serbia to 0.5 per cent and grant the country an increase in salaries and pensions, Tabakovic said that this matter can be discussed only after the IMF mission has reached the end of its engagement in around ten days.
