ZAGREB British Foreign Secretary William Hague has said that he hopes that the European Council will in June be in favor of enlargement. However, he stressed that a decision needed to be unanimous. He said that he had discussed the issue in Belgrade “that has made great progress”. “I hope and I believe the European Council will be strongly in favor of the enlargement but it is a decision that needs to be made unanimously,” the British official said after a meeting with Croatian Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic in Zagreb. Hague noted that he had discussed the EU enlargement and the negotiations with Pristina with Serbian officials in Belgrade on Thursday.
