The G7 said they will continue to finance the war in Ukraine

They called on other donors to step up their support for the war-torn country, reports Reuters.

The G7 has already mobilized up to $32 billion in budgetary and economic support for Ukraine, including 18 billion euros ($19.09 billion) from the European Union, the statement said.

Japanese Finance Minister Shun'ichi Suzuki told reporters after the G7 teleconference that "Japan is ready to provide support in response to Ukraine's financial needs in 2023 as well."

Suzuki also said that Japan will work closely with other G7 colleagues to fulfill its duties as chairman of the group next year, to create a better future for the global economy, according to the British agency.
