"We are getting mixed messages from Djokovic…"

The Serbian tennis player competed in Shanghai but chose to skip the Paris Masters 1000 tournament to play in Athens.

Last season, he did not participate in Turin at all, following his Olympic gold medal victory.

Since he has not confirmed his participation, Djokovic’s appearance at this year’s ATP Finals remains uncertain.

“The ATP Tour would like Djokovic to be there, but we’re getting mixed messages from the great player. Sometimes he says he needs to play more tournaments, sometimes not,” McEnroe said in an interview with Forbes.

Despite being 38 years old, Novak easily secured his spot less than two weeks ago, finishing third in the ATP Race.

Ultimately, the final decision will be his, and no one knows which way it will go except Djokovic himself.
