Apart from the Prime Minister, members and ministers Ivica Dačić, Goran Vesić, Jelena Begović, Mihailo Jovanović, Danica Grujičić, Jelena Tanasković, Tomislav Momirović, Miloš Vučević, Aleksandar Martinović, Slavica Đukić Dejanović, Tomislav Žigmanov and other members of the government attended the laying of wreaths.

Djindjic was assassinated on March 12, 2003, at the entrance to the government building, and he was 50 years old at the time.

Djindjic was the first Prime Minister of Serbia after the fall of Slobodan Milosevic's regime in 2000 and one of the key figures in the political changes of 2000.
