Chepurin believes that the two countries should make greater use of the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement because they hold considerable potential for development of economic cooperation.
He said that cooperation in defence industry could be interesting and that all projects should be realised to mutual benefit.
During the meeting in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Chepurin said that the favourable investment climate in Serbia offers possibilities for a number of projects and this makes Serbia's economy an attractive destination for foreign investments.
According to Chepurin, the South Stream pipeline, the construction of which is due in Serbia shortly, should soon be declared a project of national importance and it will make room for hiring a large number of Serbian companies.
Chepurin also recalled the modernisation of the Serbian railway system, which is funded from the Russian USD 800 million loan.
He underscored that an increase in investments and cooperation needs a political basis, friendly relations and strengthening of mutual trust.
other factors like transportation costs and demand for natural gas affect the price as well. it's not just the wholesale price that is the cause of the high gas prices to consumers in serbia. only getting the actual wholesale cost of the gas being supplied from russia and then factoring in the price other countries get for a similar demand level could you say if russian companies are charging serbia to much for gas.

This is a clear message that Russia wants Serbia as a friend and will help Serbia if it turns its back on the EU and NATO.
Serbia is surrounded by NATO enemies and needs a powerful friend. Russia can provide military protection against further NATO aggression and it can provide an economic life-line at a time other small southern and east European nations are sinking into economic oblivion.

Serbs and Russians need to have MUCH MORE student and scholarship exchanges. The brightest Serbs need to go to Russia and Russia would benefit as well as the Serbs wouldn't end up working for countries which promote the death and destruction of Serbs in the Balkans.
Serbs have had a lot of great scientists and Russia should work more with Serbia to develop them and itself.

Russia invests in Serbia and loans money despite the risk and Kosovo Separatists tell us we are paying to much interest. Russia invests money directly into Serbian Infrastructure and will connect Serbia with the south stream and Kosovo Seperatists tell us that they charge to much for oil.
I used to have this neighbor, and whenever I bought something, he would ask me how much it cost, and then he told me how he could have bought it cheaper. The thing is he never bought much of anything.

Russia is the country where deficit is the highest once. You can call it partner, I just call it raping, especially when reflecting that Austria pay 270$ per cm gas while Serbia pays 475$.
