Interior Minister Ivica Dačić said that 17 persons were arrested on suspicion of smuggling citizens of Afghanistan, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, Tunisia and Sudan and acquiring large sums of money.
The action is carried out by members of the Criminal Police Directorate and the Counter-Organized Crime Service, in coordination with the Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office, Hungarian and Austrian police, and MUP in Subotica, Šabac, Belgrade and Pančevo.
The arrests were being carried out in the towns of Subotica, Belgrade, Pančevo, Loznica, Kanjiža and Mol.
At leaset the Serb media recognizes and reports this as illegal activity. This would not even make the evening news in Albania, since it would be consider a petty issue or non-event compared to the real crimes "organ harvesting, drugs and arms smuggling".
