BELGRADE -- Sierra Leone is the latest country to withdraw recognition of independence of the so-called Kosovo, Tanjug reports.

The agency said it was announced by Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic, who is on an official visit to the country.
Yesterday, Serbian President indicated that another withdrawal of Kosovo's recognition of independence was soon to follow, saying in Washington that "new withdrawals of Kosovo's recognition are expected in the next few days."
Sierra Leone, located in West Africa on the Atlantic coast, presents the 18th country to withdraw recognition of Kosovo as an independent state.
"It is with particular pleasure that I can show a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stating that Sierra Leone is withdrawing recognition of Kosovo as an independent state and will respect the results of the dialogue, with the mediation of the EU and the UN," Dacic told Tanjug.
The head of Serbian diplomacy says that currently, out of 193 UN member states, 92 countries recognize Kosovo as an independent country, while 96 countries do not recognize Kosovo, with five countries showing "a fluid stand", i.e. mostly recognize Kosovo, but no longer vote for Kosovo.
"This means that Kosovo no longer has a majority in the UN," Dacic told Tanjug. He stated that this "derecognition" of Kosovo's independence was of particular importance to Belgrade and recalled that Sierra Leone was among the first countries to recognize Kosovo's independence back in 2008.
Dacic said he had successful talks with the President of the Republic in its capital Freetown, when it was agreed that bilateral relations, which had been stalled for years, be improved.
"The President of Sierra Leone has instructed the Foreign Ministry to reconsider its position on Kosovo's recognition," Dacic said.
Dacic also said that the visit of President of Sierra Leone to Serbia is expected in June, prior to which the Foreign Minister of this country will come to Serbia to prepare the visit.

Wow. How on earth do some people put on their socks in the morning. The "negotiations" are for Serbia to relinquish its LEGAL OWNERSHIP over Kosovo. SERBIA IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FATE OF KOSOVO. SERBIA IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FATE OF KOSOVO. SERBIA IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FATE OF KOSOVO. OR THE FATE OF KOSOVO RUNS DIRECTLY THROUGH BELGRADE. However you like it. SO when you say Kosovo will never be controlled by Serbia again, you fail to realize that Kosovo is currently being controlled by Serbia lol. I didn't make that happen. Legally, there is NO independent Kosovo without Serbias final permission. Thats reality. Thats why they are trying SO HARD for some deal w Belgrade. Keep remembering that. KOSOVO NEEDS PERMISSION FROM BELRADE. There is NO WAY AROUND THIS lol...It's so simple it's mind boggling.

I was asked the question several times and I provided an answer and yes, I do earn a lot of money. However, I don’t go around repeating it over and over again like your friend and resident crackpot, MSG, who claims he runs 3 farms in Serbia, travels everywhere in Europe and leaves the running of his business to his employees.
Yes, I live in the suburb of Mosman, Sydney, which is a short drive from the Central Business District just over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. If you don’t have a vehicle the only way by public transport is by bus and there are plenty, mostly going to the northern beaches. No, I do not live nor have I ever lived in Serbia mate.
Now what do you do for a living? Bet I get no reply on this one LOL.

No one knows, how many countries are in this situation. This is why some in both governments should have courage to resign instead of playing that game.
The same time Kosovo can apply for membership in organizations where Serbia is not a member. Did I mention ОСЖД versus UIC or CIV?
If you happen to buy a hand-written train ticket between Serbia and Bulgaria, you will get something of white color and there will be letters like "UIC" or "CIV" on it. But if you buy a ticket from Estonia to Urumqi there will be "ОСЖД" on the ticket, not "CIV". And it will be pink, not white.
Serbia is a member of "white" tickets railway world and ZS will do all what the can to prevent any organization for Kosovo to join. And HSH ("Hekurudha Shqiptare") from Albania is not a member.
Instead, HSH is a founding member of ОСЖД. And no one from former YU is a member of that organization.
Why not buy few busses, paint them in HSH colors, sell the tickets of pink color and run them between Tirana and Pristina?
Cheaper and more useful than buy recognitions.
Of course, Serbia can prevent it by joining ОСЖД. But the influencers from Serbian Rail prefer to drink and drive their fancy cars from BP to BG.
Greta would give them the "Lemon Prize".

The word "little" is an indirect reference to a size, which may matter.
Therefore even while trolling, it is taboo.
It comes from the underworld custom: you are not allowed to make any direct or indirect reference to the mother (wife, sister, girlfriend - but mother is the worst) of your opponent or his k@r, just because.
Thou never should break that rule. If you want to refer to lack of experience, please say "immature" instead of "little".
In response for "mother" or "little" the opponent has all moral rights to say the "Sh" word back, one ("kija") way, or the other ("iptar").
If you consider living in Serbia as a "rich and fabulous existence"...
Talk about delusions, yikes!

An other interesting way are American cars.
We, common people have endless problems with "green card" insurance.
Kosovo is the easiest part - you pay the relatively inexpensive borderline insurance and you are set. Not so with Serbia - and EU is the most expensive.
Behold, one day I did see a quite fancy SUV which was a double insanity: the SUV was super-expensive and obviously it had a very thirsty engine as well.
It had U.S. plates, so I approached it in the hope to exchange some information with the owner.
I wasn't alone, my friend from Belgrade violently pulled me away and tucked me into my car: "you do NOT want to talk to these people, don't you?"
Later I noticed, the plates on the car had no tags (year / month).
Turns out, even the police does not want to talk to these rich guys: they have better guns.

Helen Cushing.......why are you sure about the future status of Kosovo. What the Albanians did in the '90 and supported by some western powers is against all international laws.
Kosovo never belonged to Albania or Albanians. That is a fact, a bit of research will prove that.
What will happen nobody really knows. However, there are examples in history where your opinion was proved incorrect. For example, in the 90s Croatia expelled up to 300,000 Serbs from a region called Krajina. This was despite the fact that those Serbs had lived there for over 500 years and were not asking for independence. And guess what, the western nations didnt care one bit. It was barely reported in the media. And where it was repoerted they said that Croatia was "securing its boarders". Amazing, dont you think?
If you look through history of the Balkans you will know that boarders have changed many times. Fact.
When the political situation suits why will the boarders not change again.....???

In delusion land this might occur but in real life it does not. If the employer is not on-site things do not get done as the employees do not make decisions only the employer has to make. Yet you go on holidays regularly.
My Lord you are so dumb its incredible, but keep thinking you own and run the farms or are they your personal looney farms?
Whether a large corporation or a small business the boss has to be there daily to make those important decisions. This applies more in the case of small enterprises unless you are now going to tell us your farms cover thousands of hectares.
As far as living in Serbia, well using Google gave the game away a long time ago. Honestly hope the medication finally kicks in and Chicago or New York are not too cold. (sj, 5 March 2020 08:14)

though in principle you are correct reconsider and revoke are two different things, in the case these words are being used they're not so dissimilar
see, it is a binary state that we're talking about.
recognize, or do not recognize
originally the state was that of recognize, but they reconsidered their position of recognition and no longer recognize.

This will only make the Albanians double the present taxes on Serbia to 200%. Beside this, America can and will convince those countries that have derecognized K to reverse their position. In the end, Serbia will fail to achieve their most critical objective of joining the EU. Furthermore, the funny arithmetic that Dacic is using to count recognitions is bogus.

Brainwashing is what the serbian government is doing to the serbian people.
And I hope my comment will be showen, because it's always been deleted.
(BE, 3 March 2020 15:33)
This will only make the Albanians double the present taxes on Serbia to 200%. Beside this, America can and will convince those countries that have derecognized K to reverse their position. In the end, Serbia will fail to achieve their most critical objective of joining the EU. Furthermore, the funny arithmetic that Dacic is using to count recognitions is bogus.
(Darko, 3 March 2020 15:27)
Hey Albanians, is this just another banana republic....?????
I do believe thats UN member state 18 that has revoked Kosovo recognition. Great.
Quick, run to the Americans and cry a bit more........LOL.....
Well done Sierra Leone for making the right decision and respecting international law........
(View from the uk, 3 March 2020 09:33)
I think we can all agree that no matter the outcome of negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo, Kosovo will never be part of or controlled by Serbia again . That I am sure of.
(Helen Cushing, 4 March 2020 09:19)
Serbia should take United States to the Supreme Court and force them not to recognise Kosovo Serbia has signed Dayton agreement to prove Kosovo is legally a Serbian province.
(@Blue, 3 March 2020 10:47)

@truth.
though in principle you are correct reconsider and revoke are two different things, in the case these words are being used they're not so dissimilar
see, it is a binary state that we're talking about.
recognize, or do not recognize
originally the state was that of recognize, but they reconsidered their position of recognition and no longer recognize.
(iron knee, 3 March 2020 17:11)
"It is with particular pleasure I CAN SHOW A NOTE FROM THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS stating that Sierra Leone is withdrawing recognition of Kosovo as an independent state and WILL RESPECET THE RESULTS OF THE DIALOGUE with the mediation of the EU and UN".
Seems very clear to me.......
Which part are you confused with "the truth".....??????

Jealous of what? your delusions LOL? I've met many like you who live a meager life but try and paint a rich and fabulous existence, which naturally only exits in their minds.

Talk about delusions, yikes!

I’m sorry for your blindness. If you weren’t blind you would be able to see the failed attempts to join INTERPOL or UNESCO with fewer support in your failed successive attempts. Unfortunate that your ignorance (or blindness) prevents you from “seeing” this obvious reality.

(Helen Cushing, 4 March 2020 09:19)

Don't know about Chicago, do you?
