Pomodoro Address: 32 Hilandarska St., Belgrade Phone: +381-11-334-28-97 Website: pomodoro.rs Working hours of restaurant and kitchen: from 9 a.m. to midnight, Sunday from noon to midnight City transportation: bus: 23, 65, 77; trolley: 28, 40; tram: 2, 5, 10 Credit cards: Master, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, Amex Garden or terrace: summer garden, 20 seats Parking: 3rd zone Access for disabled: yes Music: CD, jazz Menu: in Serbian and English Staff speak: English Vegetarian menu: yes Main courses: from 350 to 700 dinars Breakfast: yes, until noon Reservations: advisable Delivery: yes, city center With only 10 or so tables indoors and six in the garden, this quaint little place has a visually interesting menu with stylized but realistically depicted pictures besides every dish. For starters, we had the excellent broccoli pottage recommended by the chef and beefsteak salad with lettuce, rocket salad, tomatoes, black olives and slices of Parmesan (our only complaint is that there could have been more of the meat – only five pieces at a price of 450 dinars). Pasta lovers can try the tasty tagliatele with porcini sauce and neutral cream which went well with the offered parmesan. As for pizzas, their crust is just as it should be, thin and crispy, tasty and well baked. We recommend the classic pepperoni, the mafia for fans of piquant tastes (pepperoni, smoked ham, garlic and chili peppers), and the four seasons, rich and visually appealing. The service is quick and polite, the music unobtrusive (mostly jazzy), completely in tune with the atmosphere and interior. Prices are moderate considering the location. As an ending to a great meal, what could be better than a cup of excellent espresso? Meal for two, without wine: 2,000 dinars.
